Bei der Vorstellung des aktuellen Michelin Guides San Francisco Ende Oktober gab Jean-Luc Naret seinen Abschied vom Michelin gegenüber amerikanischen Medien bekannt. Naret hat in den vergangenen sechs Jahren den Michelin in Asien und Amerika expandieren lassen, aber die Ausgabe Österreich wegen fehlender Wirtschaftlichkeit eingestellt.
Naret wird den Posten des Direktors zum Ende 2010 abgeben, Michelin aber weiterhin als Berater zur Seite stehen.
